Scott Whisson Memorial Scholarship
Providence Catholic High School

Scott Whisson: June 4, 1983-November 6, 2013

Scott has been a dear son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many people in his thirty years. He is gone too soon, but never to be forgotten. A scholarship fund has been set up in his name at Providence Catholic High School, where he played varsity soccer for four years. This scholarship will be given to soccer players at Providence for many generations to come. We look forward to building this fund through annual events that will bring Scott's large family and many friends together to celebrate the life that he had.

"You can shed tears that he is gone,

or you can smile because he has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back,

or you can open your eyes and see all he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,

or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,

or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember only that he is gone,

or you can cherish his memory and let it live on."

-David Harkins

Fundraising Events

There have been a lot of different ideas to raise funds for the Scott Whisson Scholarship Fund and our hope is that we are able to meet everyone's activity preferences, whether you like golf, bowling, soccer, drinking, etc.  Please understand that we do not expect that everyone participate in all events, but we want you to be able to join in the fun as you wish!

We expect that the first year will be full of events while we get the endowment fund established, and then we will pick one or two events to continue annually.

We will use this page to post information, get you signed up, and accept payments.
